Feeling the need to escape from the real world once and a while.
I'm making my to the moist wet sand
Crawling to the ocean to escape again
I'll drag these wilted legs until I'm done
Just so I can get away from everyone
I'm drowning but I can't seem to care
It's not that I'm unconscious or not aware
I've just lost my patience with the world and it's ways
I've grown tired of hoping for better days

If I die tomorrow who could blame me?
We're sure not making it out of here alive
I've asked too many questions that won't get any answers
So I won't even bother asking why
All of our time seems like we're chasing the wind
Running that race we lost from the start
Now we're in the company of the heartbreaker
Asking him to mend our broken hearts

Everyday we flip the coin on what road to take
Everyday we flip the coin on what face to fake
Everyday we bend ourselves until we break
Everyday we pray the next day we will wake
