This poem is about my personal struggles in life and how I have overcome them.
For this little girl
No love has been lost or gained
No crushing defeat or glorious victory
No one else’s blood has left a her shirt stained
She’s just an innocent little girl

No one has her heart on the bottom of their shoe
No one has knelt at her feet proclaiming “I love you”
She’s just an innocent little girl

Her life remains unchanged
She shouts to the world
“It’s been 15 years and all is well”
But the truth is known only in heaven and in hell

This little girl cries when no one is looking
This little girl writes what no one will read
This little girl closes her door and her arm bleeds

No one noticed before the incident
No one knew until that night
No one understood this little girl

Time has passed…
No tears are shed
No sleep is lost
Over this little girl anymore
No one worries when she shuts the door
No one asks her if she is alright
She’s hiding her pain with all her might

No one cares that nothing has changed
No one congratulates her on an arm uncut
But...
No one realizes her plans for the future
No one sees the promise gleaming in her eyes
No one could ever imagine what this girl can do…
What she will do

Can no one see?
That this girl is me
