The Song
I lie there so still and quiet.
The world is so still it seems it has-
stopped turning.
Everything seems dead...

BOOM!

I hear a faint rhythm.
The beat pulses through my veins.
The melody takes over my mind.
The tempo picks up pace.
I quake with excitement-
as all the parts come in.
My whole being rides up and down-
with the rise and fall of the notes.
All dies with a decrescendo.
The Song has awakened within me.
