A tribute to a great friend, one familiar to most of us
The Undying Joys

I am an immortal spirit.
I may be the sparkle in a dead man’s eyes,
I offer hope in a desperate mind,
I shine light in a forever darkening world.

I have been smudged with tears,
Thrown gaily in the air,
Ripped apart, shredded to pieces,
Kept safe in a desk
Or in a heart.

Thought of, never forgotten,
I will serve you as best as I can.
Open your heart to me; I may even be able to help.
For who knows,
The extent of all my wonders?

I shall forever be by your side,
If only you would look hard enough,
In soul and heart.

With love,
Your Poem.
