about a friend who died in a terrible accident, and who loved to pull trucks
"The Last Pull"

The voice said "start your engine, son,
It's time to come on home"
Just one more test, one more run
before the day was done.

You pulled on all our heartstrings
You pulled with all you had
But when you pulled away from us
It made us all so sad.

You kicked it into high gear
And revved it way up loud
And celebrated your victory
As you soared above the clouds.

We can only guess how it must be
To claim the win up there
Your prize is peace and eternal love
No hurts, no wants, no cares.

There's a welcome crew waiting
At the sparkling finish line
To throw you a great big party
And say "You did just fine."

The last pull was just for you.
Now drive into the light.
This has been your time to shine.
We know you'll be alright.
