Crazy dream about a woman sentenced to capital punishment.
There was a soul within this shell
Into this body my soul fell

It gave me strength and will and drive
Unconditionally alive

It gave me strength, power, virtue
Guaranteed I wouldn't hurt you

The actions that I did and missed
Ensured me that I did exist

I have a poor old soul bequeathed
The only soul that made me be

But there are some, and quite divine
I want to make their free will mine

The ones who trick and hurt and kill
Their souls surpassed the common will

They rose on high, above "real life"
And of the dreams they took a slice

But how does one become this way?
This gruesome, careless, murder play

Since they have a soul, then why not
Do pain and conscious make them soft

They were foolish and naive, too
But now indifferent and true

Careless, ceaseless, they want to kill
Last your body, but first your will

Empty, solemn, they want to die
But happily, insane with pride

They leave the people, gentle- mild
Depart this world with frightening smiles

The transformation is not long
Nor does require one do wrong

But one do strange and instantly
The soul is lost, alone at sea

Faithfully I loved my mother
But she chose to love another

Childlike, I turned to father
He spit, hit, and would not bother.

Desperate then I ran to brother
Who raped, hates, and takes the plunder.

Finally I cried to sister
She ignored me, so I killed her

Indifferently I sit in court
A crowd of strangers, no support

"Explain," judge says, "your reasoning
I feel no pride or sympathy."

I look to him, my eyes are dark
I smile, blink, my mind is stark

Soul is breaking, snapping, cracking
Twig beneath a man's foot rapping

Soul is lost and I am mapping
All the world is shrilly laughing

Insane I go, I am a king
People hand out painful judging

They say I'm bad and cruel and wrong
He slams the hammer down so strong

He knows fate for me decided
Irksome lawyer wants to chide in

Afterwards, judge sips some water
Then to home inside his daughter

Tonight the world will sleep in peace
As evil grows so endlessly

They are all here and I am not
They're nowhere bound and I'm off course

They tempt themselves by killing me
But I was saving them, you see

But down I die with tricky thoughts
While they wage war on souls for rocks
