My first poem on this site. It's about addiction. What are you addicted to? Please review.
Addiction.
That is what they tell me my problem is.
Who is to say I really have a problem?
Is it wrong to love something unconditionally?
Is it wrong to smell it? To feel it? To breathe it? To need it?

Affliction.
That is what they tell me I'm going through.
But do they understand me? Do I?
All I know is, when I'm hurt it's always there.
All I know is, it helps me through my state of misery.

Infliction.
That is what they tell me I am doing.
But does it really matter what I'm doing?
It doesn't matter, that I'm doing this to myself.
It doesn't matter, because I will not stop.

Conviction.
That is what they tell me I must change.
But can I change, even if I wanted to?
I need to have more of it.
I need to have it now.

Depiction.
That is what they tell me that attracts me.
How can I argue with that when it's true?
But it's so much more than that.
But it's so my life.

Restriction.
That is what they tell me I must do.
But how is that even possible? plausible? imaginable?
I cannot restrict my longings, it is worthless.
I cannot restrict my desires.

Prediction.
That is what they tell me will happen to me.
But can they predict the future?
Will I die from this eventually?
Will I find it worthwhile?

It is my everything.
I need it to survive.
It brings happiness, without it's misery.
I can not stop consuming it.
I have to have it now.
My life depends on it.
It completes my every desire.
It makes my life worthwhile.
