A poem about conquistadors, and war in general.
Blind
By The Lamenting Exile

That which shines bright
But with a crimson hue
Through our gaze
The madness of greed engulfs us

Why wait for Heaven?
It is right here:
Paradise, riches, luxury
But hell awaits us all

With unholy zeal
I cut them down
The pain in their faces
Is but a transaction
Traded for blood

Blinded by rage
We could not see
What seems like gold
Crumples in our hands to dust
We will never see God
