Staying strong through heartbreak.

The mind and heart
Their beliefs so different

My heart once had me convinced
That I loved him
Yet my mind showed the truth

Why should I love someone who thought nothing of my existence?
His indifference to me tore up my heart

My mind stayed sane
I would go on
But my heart would never fully recover

Why must I hurt myself so?
I have no need for something as frivolous as love

I am strong
I need nothing and no one
I will hold myself up.
