This is a true story and I like how the poem turned out.
If you were still alive, I’d still take care of you.
I would bathe you clean, mint fresh new.
If things were different, you’d still be here with me.
We’d play from dusk till dawn, just you and me.
You’ve always protected me, I wish I could say the same.
If i was there for you, “they” wouldn’t of came.
It's cuz of  me you died, you’re dead now, you’ve been beaten.
I’m sorry, I didn’t know, you’re dead now, you’ve been eaten. (note: chinese culture)
You’re at a better place now, a sanctuary of peace.
A place you’ll never be hurt again, the pain has ceased.
You’ll not be forgotten, your spirit will always live in my heart.
We’ll meet again one day my friend, when I too from this world do part.
