A poem of how life was and how it is now, for me anyway.
im all alone, but they are here.
im here with pain, im here with fear.
i sit and think, of better days.
cheer me up, but sadness stays.
i have no hope, of better life.
only guilt, only strife.
i try to drink, and numb the pain.
but all it does is stir the flame.
a pin of light is all i see.
a little hope, its all i need.
she looks at me, her gaze is searing.
strait to my soul, the haze is clearing.
her lips are full, her hair is flowing.
she's saving my life, yet she doesn't know it.
im in her hands, my soul she's stealing
im happy now, what is this feeling!
i hear her speak, an angels voice.
im falling fast, i have no choice.
she becomes me, i become her.
we are one life, where two souls stir.
i saved her life as she saved mine.
if not for her, one more day
would have been my last night.
i thank God for her love I pray,
that i can do for her
what she did that day.
every day we have the chance,
to let love grow to let it dance.
we let it dance to our own sound,
we watch it grow in leaps and bounds.
