To love a ghost.
Sinewy flutters of eyelashes
against cheeks in dreaming flashes.

Invisible touches caressing skin
reaching through to soul within.

Not But chills greet your hand
like snow dancing a sarabande.

And still not but chills reside
as skin and spirit collide.

Mortal eyes glance not but air,
through you passes only my stare.

I'd give anything to see your eyes,
tell me, are they blue like the skies?

Can I feel the tingle of your breath?
Can we not be separated even by death!

A shock can hit the moment I feel
what I want to believe is oh so real.

To feel the change in winds like
flits of butterfly wings, wind strike.

Feel the threads pushing apart to greet
your smile and the heavenly cloud seat.

Feeling flesh once in a dream until
the realities of time begin to spill.

And the dream shall fade leaving nothing
but chills, which mean something.

Sinewy flutters of eyelashes
begin to end a dream, love to ashes.
