My first submission. Not much else to say I suppose. Enjoy!
Old autumn’s song of gentle heart
‘Fore winter brings her aching start
The breeze of fall does usher in
A canvas filled with nature’s art
To shun her love would be a sin
The colors change from deep within
An empty nest, an empty home
The birds have flown to meet their kin
The soil and the sandy loam
The wind, the waves, the sea’s white foam
Old autumn touches everything
The Warbler’s song is gone till spring.
