How I see myself and what I wish others would notice...
Lies

Would you believe her if she told you she was fine?
Could you tell if she were lying?
Can you see through her mask
And find the suffering she’s holding inside?
Most never will…
And others desperately try.
They comfort and soothe to the best of their ability
But nothing seems to work.
Her heart is as cold as ice;
Poisoned by the one she thought she loved.
Sick inside…
She’s so viciously twisted.
This once happy girl has faded into darkness.
Her soul... violently shredded.
The pieces of her life have disintegrated
Along with every ounce of hope.
She’s lost…
Endlessly searching for someplace to call home,
For someone she can call her own,
…. Her love.
She saunters through this Hell of a world,
Her journey aimless,
Her mission undecided.
Mystified by the consoling words of others,
She doesn’t know what to believe anymore…
Doesn’t understand how everything fell apart.
She needs to find herself again,
And untangle this mess…
This mangled heap she calls a soul.
Could anyone love the rejected one?
Could anyone help her find herself again?
Could they save her from herself.....

Will anyone be able to heal her scars?
Will she wither and fade,
Or fight to find her place at his side?
She doesn’t know…
She doubts she'll find happiness again,
And she’s suspicious of those weary thoughts.
She’s exhausted…
So tired…
She wants to lay down and never open her eyes again.
To let her breath halt in her chest along with her wild dreams.
She sees no hope in her future…
Only dwelling in her past to remember the things she’s lost.
Maybe she’ll get him back someday,
When the rain in her eyes ceases to fall,
And her black clouded sky is pierced with sunshine.
Maybe then she’ll be happy…
She’ll be able to love again without the regret.
So many fears…
But for now, she remains scared;
Terrified of rejection and abandonment.
She doesn’t want to be left alone again,
Doesn’t want her heart to break anymore…
She’s so timid;
Hesitant to speak for fear of saying the wrong thing.
So she remains quiet,
Silent, almost…
She sits back and watches the world go on around her,
Not caring to intervene when things start to crumble,
Not caring to speak up when the love walks away forever.
She just lets it happen,
Puts a smile on her face,
And lets her emotional cover-up work its magic.
Let’s her lies deceive the ones who care for her.
Don’t believe her…
Break through the ice on her heart,
Tell her its okay to cry
Try anything…
Just don’t believe her lies…
