Not Technically an Ode - Sharing the Autumn Colors with a Kindred Spirit.
It's soft and simple...
A Sunday afternoon drive down a quiet colorful road,
Sun rays streaking through the leaves -
Yellows, auburn reds and greens.
Warm drinks on a cool afternoon with the windows down
I watch the wind in her hair - her smile carries no despair
Bird songs flutter in the air cheering on the moment.
Glowing reflections and moist air after a brief sprinkle
Lend serine calm to the passerby lakes and streams.
Canopies part revealing endless sky over rolling hills of natures tapestry.
Eternity's clock hands of color ebb and flow through the roots of the seasons
And reasons for being near this beautiful realization of self and all that is.
