Emotional damage can be devastating
Your vicious shouts,
Your spiteful words,
Your painful accusations,
Cutting deeply.

A dagger in my gut
Twisting and turning,
A rope around my throat
Choking my air.

A hand around my heart
Clenching and squeezing,
A heavy weight
Crushing me down.

My legs cannot support me,
I crumple to the floor,
Weak and defenseless
As a baby.

Are you happy
now that I am in pieces
on the floor
Are you happy?
