This is a poem i wrote when me and a friend were goin through a "rough spot"
I once had a close friend
I though we were friends to the end
I told her everything
Happiness is what she would bring
Until she dropped me
I'm teary-eyed, but now I see
I was thrown away like an unloved doll
I was left to try and handle the fall
Everyday now I sit and think
What made our friendship go over the brink?
From her I get no comfort
No attempt to mend this hurt
But she tried to comfrot me yesterday
I smiled and said what I was expected to say
"It's okay."
She seemed pleased as she walked away
But I wasn't, not in any way
If I told her how I really feel
I know our friendship would never heal
But one good friend recorded what I said
The other listened and ran, this is where it led
She is running from what is true
She doesn't talk to me, not a single "How are you?"
I watch her run everyday
"Please listen" is what I want to say
She never does so I'm about to give in
Oneday I will, but I don't know when
So I smile and put on a charade
Yet silently weep over the friendship I could have saved
