A poem about my wife. I know it's sappy, but I figured I'd post it anyways. :-)
Writer's note: You may notice that I stole lines from my other poem-- the reason I did so was because it's my wife's favorite from anything I've written! So this is all really a testament to her.

Ah as I remember,
It was sometime in September
And yet fanged winds gummed pink flesh tender.
As I stood, half-man, have-slave
Awaiting her and my moment brave;
And they both came, it turned out
Courage solid, you came about
And though my careless, callous rout
Was blatant; but from my heart you did drought.
Fast-forward, 2 intoxicating Autumns past
We circled round to Autumn last--
Again, naked I was pressed
Upon your sweet eternal breast
And uttered once again my desire
That we would last as Vestal fire.
And when, on mid-month November
We derive our fealty pleasure
I hope you smile, same as September
And remember that though I was petrified
Our lives entwined, because I tried.
