My first piece, a short piece on karma.
The rage flows through my body like lies from your mouth.
I thought I had your game all figured out.
There I was just surviving another day,
And you came out the blue and sent me on my way.
But me, I’m cool, I’m just chillin’,
‘cause I know that Karma, she’s one nasty villain.
She’s got my back and I know we’re cool,
So I’ll just watch while she makes you a fool.
She can sneak up behind you in so many ways,
And I’ll just sit back and count the days.
You gave me mine and she’ll give you yours.
I’ll smash out a window since you slammed my doors.
You took from me, but she can take so much more.
She may knock lightly, or she may knock down your door.
She can take your home, your money, your car,
And let’s face it, possessions is all you are.
You just sit there, comfortable in your seat of power,
And know that any given day it could all go sour.
I may hold a grudge, but I won’t be mad,
I know your pathetic existence is what’s truly sad.
Without your team, you’d fall on your face,
And the way you treat them is truly a disgrace.
But I’ll move on, I’ll be okay,
You stabbed me in the back and I walked away.
The way you did me should be considered a sin.
I hope if you reach the pearly gates they don’t let you in.
I’ve said my peace, now I’m gonna move on,
Don’t call on me when everyone else is gone.
