The meaning of Christmas
Frost upon the window panes,
Gingerbread and candy canes,
Silver, gold and red and green
Everywhere adorn the scene,
Colored lights along the lane,
Carols sung in sweet refrain,
Christmas bells ring harmony,
Presents wrapped beneath the tree,
Decorations on the wall,
Tinsled garland down the hall,
Spice and pine and Yuletide glow,
Maybe even Christmas snow,
Holly wreath upon the door --
This is Christmas, but there's more!

Christmas Mass till early morn
Celebrates that Christ was born,
Christmas story now retold:
Wisemen's gifts of myrrh and gold,
Star of David shines above,
Angels sing of God's great love,
Shepherds from their fields by night
Guided by the Star's great light,
Candles' glow and Virgin Birth
Herald love and peace on Earth.
Christmas feast of roasted hams,
Pumpkin pies and candied yams
Shared with friends and family --
That's what Christmas means to me!
