This is a poem about my best friend.
NO TRUTH IN A PRETENSE

feeling alone

wanting the feeling of someone who truly loves and cares

searching in all the wrong places

and in the wrong ways

all it took was one wrong lonely night

to open the flood gates to a long supressed feeling

the disillusioned feelings of truth

steered down a path to an untraveled road by you

in which left behind are but many soft footprints of many before you

with the same fears and tribulations

wrapped in the arms of someone who only holds a false pretense

only falling deeper into the dark hole

holding forth a fascade of an air tight stone shell

pretending not to know the reasons

of which things happen the way you make them happen

deep inside the truth holds light

fall into the arms of a stranger

just to have a false feeling

ignoring the truth of the matter

even if for just one night

one moment

in that moment all is well

or at least you believe is so

but not before the intoxication sets in

so all reality is gone to set the tone

for a single moment of a believed fantasy
