Though love seems lost, the wishes a heart makes, someday, will come true
Pocketful of Dreams

In my pocket,
The one over my heart,
Lives a little faerie fellow
Who loves to snuggle there.
He keeps me company
As I go to and fro
Through my day.

Then on to sleep at night time too,
Though I suspect he creeps out then,
Lays upon my pillow,
And whispers love words in my ear
While he plays with a lock of my hair.

I love that little faerie fellow.
He brings me dreams so bittersweet
It makes me want to cry
And yet,
I wouldn’t want to stop
The dreaming…

Because Someday, I know
I‘ll grow wings
And go to live and love
With the little faerie fellow
Somewhere in a pocket
Just big enough for two….

And then…
I know the sun will always shine
The sky…remaining blue
For I will have earned
The love he gave me so freely
Once in Long Ago

But,
For now,
The little faerie fellow
Lives on
In my pocket.
