Standing in streetlight
Cold smoke in the rain
Fixed for a lifetime in a second
Freeze framed in the glow with a halo of backlight and carcinogen

Black shadow icon
Coal glows under dark eyes
Beauty in enigma
Project the unknowable and pin your wishlist to the stars

Standing in streetlight
Still as the grave
Stare at a half image reflecting from tarmac
A legend for the span of a cigarette
