Some people lie throughout their entire lives; they are actors.
The Stage

Acting its way through tribulations
Earth is infested with a race
Wooden floors many souls have graced
Life is such a perfect stage

The best actress you’ll ever meet
Is hidden just beneath the skin
Performance flawless, without a trace
Of disgust on her comely face
Never has acting been so vital
As to spare the heads and hearts
Of those who accept lies as truth
Beguiled souls will not depart

The first commandment of an actor
By which she religiously abides
Is to relate to every spectator
In order to permeate bolted minds

The mask of a budding thespian
Will act a mirror to comport
With the complexity of an audience
Paper mache masterwork
Paired with a scarlet sweater
"In love" branded on her chest
This is the costume of a liar
A fraud he won’t forget

Certain skills are necessary
To gain access unto souls
If not for manipulation
Then to enable absurd goals

She is a master of the art
Of knowing what they want to hear
She swallows back the vomit
While treating bias ears
Her lips form the dialogue
That would crinkle blinded eyes
Why ever should she tell the truth,
When they smile at her lies?
