The emotions of a friend who lost their husband.
Lost Emotions

You’re running, but cannot escape the pain
You can’t hide from emotions
They flood through you freely
Enough sadness to fill oceans
But you’re smiling, really

How you can hide pain,
But not from it
You can’t explain
The smile you are smiling

Some people ask why you cry,
Other’s ask why you smile
But why should you answer, why?
It doesn’t seem worthwhile

The cards that are sent
The tears that are shed
All that is left is his scent
He is dead.

The world may move on,
While you’re world is on pause,
Because you’re loved one is gone
Keep holding On
