Poem about my children and reflecting on the past
Long ago when I was very young
God entrusted me with two small sons
He said, "They are not yours to keep
But only yours to love and teach."

"I have loaned them to you to comfort and guide.
Then set them free at the appropriate time."
He said he would be there from morning till dawn
To guide me and help me keep them from harm.

At times He would speak and I would listen.
Then at other times I would think, surely He's wrong.
I am their mother , I knew what was best...
So I would do it my way and would not go along.

God said "Why did she not listen
I know the future hence I know where to guide.
My way is always the easiest and always the best."
My way caused only trouble and unhappiness.

Then His voice grew quiet,I would feel alone
Then came confusion and filled me inside.
But now I know he had never left me
He felt so sad...I had caused him to turn and cry.
