the sound of many doors shutting
Closure

And to think this could be the last day of all time -
I spent it dark and stuck on myself
happiness shone in my eyes,
like the far off sun of childhood remembering,
momentary.
I have been lost and in my bewilderment,
my robot wanderings,
I longed for closure as the raindrop does its
return to land. I thought
it would tell me where I was, and I found a sign;
lost,
it said.
And to think
one day this could be
the one day I remember,
dying in the margin of a far off future.
