Can I exist in the hustle and bustle of daily love?
Alone on a crowded street:
Life Ave.
I only need to make it one street over
to Paradise Parkway
where someone can see me smile.

Whoever someone may be.
I'm tired of expressing my feelings
towards no one in particular.

Drowning
in a stream of consciousness.
Hoping only for a breath
of fresh air.
Listening for a voice
in the abyss.
Maybe I'm deaf.

Skydiving without a parachute
but happy.
Smiling fake until it cracks my face.
