What happens when you swallow your feelings
It came to her
Tonight
Unexpected, uninvited
And laid upon her
A grey suffocating
Shroud
Again
Close as skin
As wide as life
A choking, blinding fog
Swirling from a place
Hidden deep
Within her soul
It is a secret
A place
Full and boiling
Best guarded
And left undisturbed
It is a place
Of unspoken dreams
Unsung songs, secret dances
Hidden desires,
Screams, rages, fears
Loves, unshed tears
She was caught
Off-guard
Something broke
Away from
The darkness
And she came
Undone
