I have dated a couple men since my divorce.
Sould Have Been My Step-Children

I would like to pay
A tribute to the children
That was almost part of my wedding day
Part of my life and then

Their dad and I
Didn’t make the score
Then I cried
Leaving all of us feeling poor

I wont forget their little faces
That held to my hand
There will be traces
Of them more than the man

I want you to know
That I love you
And that love still will grow
And I hope that you will always love me too

I was your mom for a while
And we laughed and played
I miss you smile
I too wish I had stayed

So my little children
I may not be your mom to the end
But I am what I have always been
I am your best friend
