Inspired by Mitch Albom, poem about having one day to revisit deceased loved ones.
What would you do
if only for a day,
you could spend time with your loved ones
who have sadly passed away?

Would you express how much you miss them,
and that you love them very much?
Would you tell them you are sorry,
that you wish they'd kept in touch.

Would you fill them in on your life story,
admit that nothing is the same?
Would you ask them why they had to die,
and if you are the one to blame?

Would you ask about the heavens,
if death was meant to fear?
Would you even dare to notice
that the end was near?

Would you throw your arms around their waist,
and beg them not to go?
Would you fall down to your knees and pray,
for God to hear us down below?

There are probably a million things
that we would like to do,
If only there were just one day
to make this dream come true.
