I really enjoyed writing this poem.
Just leave me alone! My soul is numb.
I don’t wanna be what I’ve become.
The chains are heavy, and I’m too weak.
I feel helpless, worthless, unable to speak.
Broken glass is what covers the floor.
I’m blinded by lies – I can’t see anymore.
The pain is crimson; it falls to the ground.
Forever it falls; I’m no longer around.
The Truth abounds, despite all my pain.
Scream over the lies! I won’t go insane!
My pain turns to blood; my blood covers me,
But this way will not set me free.
Broken promises – the lies within my heart –
My memories threaten to tear me apart.
I’m borderline psychotic; I must get away.
My pain is crimson – I see clearly this way.
