Do not disturb the writer's lair ~ who knows what it may one day bear ~ a Rondelay
         The Writer’s Lair

Entombed by tomes and errant scraps,
The only sounds of life, soft taps
Of keystrokes wearing fingers bare;
Do not disturb the writer’s lair.

Encased in such cacophony,
The cloister bears no mortal plea
Or space for specious verbal fare;
Do not disturb the writer’s lair.

In due course, from the chrysalis
A symphony no more remiss
In print, complete, yields payment fair;
Do not disturb the writer’s lair.
