poem, hypocrisy
The painted face of Hypocrisy
Finally shed his leopards' skin.
Lies and deceits unfold
Tragic memory to my mind's eye.

Once he was my friend
Whom I loved like Spring
And warmed to and cherished
Like hot summer days.

With Autumn, he shed his tattered guise
And I, seeing who he really was
Gazed over his shoulder-- choosing
The wintry path of no return.

Already he is unwant memory
Fading like a shadow
On a wall, and 'Time', with
Reckless steps-- hurries by.
