Reconnecting with the Lord ,
I walk the winding road through the mountains I call home,
as I watch an eagle soar above I feel small and so alone.
The years have passed so quickly since the day I drove away,
A young man so angry at the world now I stand here and pray.
Lord if you can hear me please heal this  broken soul,
I haven't made life easy  of this I'm sure you know.
I chose to take a path that took me from your side,
I knew that it was wrong, but I still chose to hide.
from the bars and the streets with nowhere else to go,
I now find myself back to the only place I know .
I feel your presence all around as it's beauty  fills my eyes.
why is it so easy to see, now that I've  come home to die.
Your son has been humbled and is ready to come home,
please tell me you will be there and I won't be alone.
