A short little story about how a guilty conscience can lead to ones death.
Bleak and dark all the rooms look the same to you now
The feeling in your stomache isn't gonna stop
All hotels are the same
Same design same horrible lies
She can't live with herself
Everytime he's away
she says she at a meeting with her clients
meetings turn into sex and clients turn into affairs
She lies her way through her marriage
6 happy years, and she chose to lie her way through it all
The sheets engulfing her body, she is never happy anymore
The adrenaline is the only thing keeping her awake
Knowing her husband was gonna be home tonight
The ring hidden in her pocket in her pants that are on the floor
It all flashes through her head.
She can't do this anymore, but he pushes in deeper
and she can't stop the sensation makes her heart go cold
Sex isn't what it was before,
Her heart is shattered for what she is doing
Not another day she can live with herself
For 2 months shes been going to these meetings
The sensations stops she lays in bed wondering
"Is this right?"
She gets up and grabs her clothes and go to the bathroom
Reaching in her purse she grabs the test
And hopes the last couple of signs were in her head...
Crying as she waits and gets her clothes back on
She reminds herself of their 3 year old daughter
He brings home the money and he's the best father
The test is done.. she looks down... she's pregnant.
She breaks the mirror and slits her wrists and bleeds to death
With her last bleak moments in life She writes
"I'm sorry"
in her own blood
Her husband was never aware.. still in love with her as much as he was
maybe even more..
she was lying behind his back and couldn't live with herself
