A poem that I wrote about Christmas day
It's that fun time again, and Christmas is near,
when people are happy and filled with good cheer.
We've wrapped all the gifts to put under the tree,
and the children are trying, how good they can be.

The stores are all busy, folks hurrying so,
to get the best gifts, and paper and bow.
They don't even see you, as you hurry, too.
Only aware of what they need to do.

The dinner is cooking, big turkey and trimmings,
but football is on, so you yell "Hey, who's winning".
The table is set, now everyone's there
as we all bow our heads for a loving prayer.

With all the gifts opened and dinner enjoyed,
we just watch the children playing with their toys.
A beautiful Christmas, again we've been blessed.
and every year we say it's been the best.

Never forget the greatest gift, that we all have received
was from a Father, that was his Son, that gave his life away.
As we celebrate this holy day, this I do believe.
He is the reason for all the glory... Have a Merry Christmas Day.
