Coming face to face with love and regret forgotten
Destiny

Pondering my inevitable fate
Wondering through life aimlessly
Questioning my own destiny

At what point do I give in
If I’m to die tomorrow
Why am I so filled with sorrow?

Looking for happiness
With eyes cast down
Head bowed and heart drowned

Then all at once
God tells me to raise my chin
And I come eye to eye with my biggest sin

There you are standing before me
My body trembles, my heart breaks
My knees go weak, my hands shake

I feel you enter into my soul
Entering my heart once again
Within an instant I feel your hands

A single touch, a single glance
Once again, my heart has been
Removed from my chest

I smile and blink
As I give it to you
Oh so freely

You’ll handle it with care
You’ll care with ease
God don’t let him hurt me please

My life is so short
My days are numbered
Please don’t wake me from this wondrous slumber

I looked for so long
I’ve searched everywhere
And before my eyes-you’re standing there

A touch, A kiss
A feeling
Would be bliss

Then you back away
With a look in your eyes
You shake your head and ask me..Why?

I did what I had to do
When I had to do it
I only ask that you forgive me for it

You say we’re moving way too fast
You say you’re confused
All I hear is I’m not good enough for you

I’ve waited my whole life
Through sickness and health
And now you’re pushing me
Right back into my hell

I’ll pay for my sins
And I’ll do it with a grin
‘Cause I’ll never love anyone like you again.
