If I could
I would wish us back
To 13
Skipping school
Staring up at the sky
Waiting for 17
To come along
“Things will be better”
And maybe they are
Certainly
Pretty and painted
With
Frown lines
And curly-cued hair
You make me laugh
At that red on your cheeks
And those words
Tattooed on your tongue
You’re such a whore
