Poem about unspoken love...
If you loved me, I bet I could be beautiful
If you held me, I know I’d be warm
If you loved me, maybe I’d be yours forever
If you loved me, one moment would be enough
I’m sure, to make me yours forever

But the sky is full of icy stars
And the ocean full of waves
My heart is full of your memory
Your every word it saves
For I know now,
I’ll never know your tender touch
I’ll never see your eyes again
Gazing down into mine
If only my heart would release you as well
I’d been well and truly done.

Sometimes I see you from far away
And notice my heart freeze
Or see a haircut, just like yours
And remember how you used to tease
Me when I said something stupid
Or tripped over my own words
Crashing into nothingness
With no one to catch me, no one to catch me

I know I could be beautiful, If I knew you loved me,
I know I could be special, If I could believe it’s true
If only once you’d looked at me with something tender
Kind and sweet, I wouldn’t ask of you
To let me go
Let me go forever
Let me go
To someone who’ll hold me
Someone who’ll tease me
Someone who’ll make me beautiful
Beautiful
