i wrote this on christmas eve after meeting a handsome waiter at my uncle's restaurant
She falls too easily
                    ~too readily
And the damage is etched deeper each time.
If she is too happy
                    ~she worries
Because she aniticipates the ominous signs.

What now? A cookie?
                    ~It can't be...
The fortune within shuns her negative mind.
"Look inside, look deeply
                  ~past uncertainties.
Your history of heart aches have made you blind."

Only in her poetry
                  ~she's free
The anguis can flow from all she holds inside.
She laughs at the irony
                  ~disbelievingly.
Once again, she knows her heart must cross the line.

She gives too quickly
                    ~too willingly
And the damage engraved grows with time.
She remembers sadly
                    ~but also gladly
And again wipes away all hope from her eyes.
