A snowy whimsical afternoon

Fat flakes falling
Flowing fast
Filling hollows
Creating a vast
Drape of whiteness
Silent and smooth
Hiding all tears and wrinkles
Defying my eyes of sleuth.

Fat flakes falling
Flowing fast
Filling hollows
Creating a cast
Over the sleepy ground
A cold blanket to preserve
Nature’s surprises and to hide
What Springtime holds in reserve.
