An introduction to a group of poems
One by one I'll sink or swim
and let you know my secrets
One by one I'll let you in
so you can think you know me
but friendships are like days and end
and tomorrows are always lonely
so listen to these as I confess my crimes
and not as answered owed you

One by one the lights will dim
as the darkness swallows the corners
and one by one they'll bury me
as the weight pushes on my shoulders
so say hello and say farewell
and leave as quickly as you read this
because if you stop and stare to long
then the darkness will replace your reason.
