reflecting upon the end of life
If this were the final day for me to see the sun
I'd grab a falling star from high and wish for nothing more
Than to talk with a good friend and trespasses undone,
For things unsaid and wrongs left wrong I solemnly abhor.

If this were the final hour I should ever breathe
I'd scan the pages of a book I hold close to my heart.
Then light a fire in my room and wish you here with me.
I'd revel in contentedness as we talk of art.

If this were the final moment that I e'er should sing
I'd sing a song of life explored devoid of regrets
An anthem, one eccentric girl who defined the thing
Men defined to draw the line 'tween genius and madness
