Not one of my best works, but thought I should add it.. A poem about medieval warfare.
I can hear the war-drums
A battle is near
We try to stay focused
We tune out our fear.

They slowly advance
Ready for war
Thunder clashes above
With an ominous roar.

Suddenly they charge
And we're locked in mortal strife
We cry out in fury
As we struggle for life.

So much blood is shed
Yet the fighting goes on
They attack without mercy
And still we stand strong.

We fight with strength and courage
And soon the battle is done
We shout out in triumph
We've finally won!
