A mild atempt to adult genre.
This is written about the same person as Basement and My-Ex My-Heart.

My Ride

I look out the window
From where I ride
Watching for his truck
To come driving by

He doesn’t care
That is true
He’d like to share
But not with you

It feels so good
Upon this hill
Not doing as I should
Just doing as I will

He didn’t care
From the start
Who would be there
To heal my broken heart

Now I wait as I ride
In the living room looking out
Why did I make you hide
When I Just wanted to shout

To the one who
Pushed us together each day
And broke my heart into
As he looked the other way

The key turned in the door
I ran to the kitchen
You feet hit the floor
Just afraid to hear his bitchen

I was flushed when
I took my place by his side
Not covering my sin
He did not see it, He didn’t try
