My response to offering that God has given us.
Pull the nails from the hands
and let the wounds heal.
Clean away the bloody cuts
and let the pain abate.
Lift away the crown of thorns
and let him open up his eyes.
Pour ointments on his side
and let down his broken body.
Pull the nails from his hands
and let me hammer them back in again.
