A poem about hope

How do I change this heart of ice and leave the past behind

How do I look into the future and see the silver lining

The sun beams down through the clouds bringing rays of light

A rainbow appears amidst the rain to promise hope for tomorrow

As the ice begins to melt it washes away the sorrow

And in that moment the death of this cold, cold heart is in sight
