Poetry of faith and defeat
For all comes from nothing
and into nothing comes all.
Dark whispers move the darkness
and in the darkness crawl.

While evil feeds on goodness
and breeds evil in turn,
desire sets in motion
the principles we learn.

In losing faith,
we, men, discover new beliefs;
forging, to our upset,
uncountable deceits.

Who says we're all too proud
or proud enough, at least?
True faith is not about
the worship of a priest.

Reveal your sacred charm,
oh, beauty of old times!
I'd keep you from all harm
if you'd forgive my crimes.

Defeat is utter now
and in dismay I'll cry
if fate will thus allow
our hopes to fade and die.
