I wrote this in 96 during the whole grunge thing.
Gone Screaming
Kolin Lovett - Lethbridge, AB - May, 1996

In a darkened window
At the shack up on the hill
There's a candle burning
There's a flame upon the window sill

Like on the ceiling
Shadows crawl across the floor
Can you feel it
The silent echoes scream for more

Get up and dance now
Lick the sunshine on your lips
And throw your hands up
Grind inside its martyred pit

Gone screaming...
Gone screaming...
Gone screaming...

In a blackened hallway
At the house up top the hill
There’s a definite yearning
There’s ghost within you, desperate still

Like in the mirror
Distance makes you feel your age
Can you hear it
The lines of languish turn the page

Get up and move now
Squeeze the rhythm from its tip
And throw your groove down
Writhe within its wanton grip

Gone screaming...
Gone screaming...
Gone screaming...
